Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 70,931 people, 24,544 households, and 19,744 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 3,015.4 people per square mile (1,164.4/km²). There were 25,421 housing units at an average density of 1,080.7/sq mi (417.3/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 94.78% White, 1.01% African American, 0.33% Native American, 4.03% Asian, 0.07% Pacific Islander, 0.02% from other races, and 0.76% from two or more races.
